Dr Tamas Takacs, our General Dentist
leads the clinic with professionalism and expertise. He graduated from the Dental Faculty at the University of Szeged, Hungary and earned an advanced Masters degree in Implantology and Dental Surgery in Munster, Germany in 2015. He has been registered with the Irish Dental Council since 2013.
His expertise and experience includes routine restorative treatments, prosthodontics, cosmetic procedures as well as endodontics. He values collaborative care and works well with other specialists in the best interest of his patients. His friendly and welcoming nature ensures that every patient, regardless of age or dental concerns, receives the best dental care care and attention.
Dr Szilvia Mihalyi
graduated from the Dental Faculty of Semmelweis University in Budapest in 2008. In 2011, she completed her specialist training in Dento-Alveolar Surgery with honours at Semmelweis University. In 2012, she registered with the Irish Dental Council as both a General Dentist and an Oral Surgery Specialist. Since then, she has been providing advanced oral surgery and implant dentistry treatments, including surgical and prosthetic procedures. She prides herself in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Dr Szilvia Mihalyi has published several scientific articles in professional journals, with a particular focus on oral implantology and oral cancer research.
Kauana Bettoni
is our dedicated dental nurse at Rathgar Dental. Originally from Brazil, Kauana brings valuable clinical knowledge and experience to our team. She works closely with Dr Tamas Takacs and Dr Szilvia Mihalyi, providing expert support during treatments and ensuring every patient enjoys a comfortable, well-cared-for experience.

The service gRey provide is excellent and I find their staff to be really helpful and friendly and explain clearly what treatment will entail. I have struggled with dentists for a while but I can honestly say Dr.Tamaz is exceptional and puts you at ease as well. During procedures he talks you through each step and makes sure you know the direction he is going. On top of this is is priced very well and his assistant always makes sure to follow up with appointments. Overall I went for 6-7 visits, root canals and removal of old fillings that had cracked. Exceptional and highly recommend. They also got to know you as a patient.
